Bayern Munich midfield star Corentin Tolisso has reportedly emerged as a surprise transfer target for Arsenal and Machester United.
Tolisso has started only nine games in the Bundesliga and Champions League this campaign, with a further six outings coming from the Bench.
With the French midfielder having failed to secure regular first-team minutes at the Allianz Arena since 2017, Bild reports that the Bavarians are ready to cash in on the 25-year-old midfielder.
The report claims that the German heavyweights want to raise transfer funds to increase their chances of securing the services of Kai Havertz from Bayer Leverkusen.
Arsenal and Manchester United could both be in the market for new players especially midfielders as they are keen on to strengthen midfield area before the start of the new 2020/21 season.
While the Red Devils may view Tolisson as a replacement for aged Nemanja Matic, the Gunners’ head-coach, Mikel Arteta may wish to bring in more competition for Lucas Torreira, Granit Xhaka, and Matteo Guendouzi respectively.
Meanwhile, Premier League giants also eyeing a move for Serie A forward Dries Mertens who has been tipped to depart from Napoli after the end of the current season and Premier League seems to be his favoured destination for the 2020/21 campaign.
