25m-rated attacker wants to stay at Eredivisie amid Arsenal links

€25m-rated attacker wants to stay at Eredivisie amid Arsenal links

Orkun Kokcu has confirmed that he’d like to remain with Feyenoord despite interest from Gunners and Sevilla. The 19-year-old playmaker has admitted that he isn’t set to leave Feyenoord yet, with the attacker hoping to help the Rotterdam outfit to the Eredivisie title next campaign.

Even though the attacking midfielder would like to stay with the side, Kokcu also expressed some displeasure at the team’s disappointing new contract offers. Orkun is contracted to the Dutch giants until 2023, the playmaker is currently valued at nearly £20m.

Orkun’s target of the title next campaign isn’t outlandish at all, the ace has helped Feyenoord to a third-place finish this campaign, the Eredivisie has been curtailed due to the covid pandemic. U21 Turkey international has already won two Under-21s caps for the Crescent-Stars.

Orkun has scored twice and chipped in with four assists in 22 league games this campaign, the playmaker has also contributed two assists in five Europa League group stage outings this term.

The Turkish playmaker switched his international allegiance to Turkey last summer after representing Holland at Under-18s and 19s level, Orkun has now emerged as one of Turkey’s top talents.

A No.10 like Orkun would’ve been a useful signing for Arsenal, Mikel Arteta’s side should be eyeing the addition of a new playmaker following Mesut Ozil’s poor displays over the past two-and-a-half-years.

The London giants appear to be working towards fielding a younger lineup since Arteta was appointed as a boss, a talent like Kokcu would’ve fit in with this

Arsenal enter the battle for £35m rated Serbia international Luka jovic

The London club have reportedly been cleared to seal the transfer of Real Madrid centre-forward Luka Jovic as Zizou has decided he wants him out. La Liga giants are now hoping to raise nearly €60m from his sale the same they paid to sign Serbia international last summer.
Luka shone at previous club Eintracht Frankfurt but has struggled at the Bernabeu, and it looks Los Blancos are now keen to offload him as soon as possible. Jovic’s value might not have fallen too much just yet, so it might be a good time to cash in on him amid interest from the Gunners.
Arsenal could do with a top signing upfront due to doubts over Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang’s future at the Emirates Stadium. The 30-year-old centre-forward is yet to sign a new deal with the Gunners and has been linked with a host of top clubs such as Man United, Chelsea, Real Madrid and Barcelona.
Auba would be hard to replace, but if the Serbian striker can get back to his best, he could end up being a real bargain at €60m. Arsenal have poor consequences in the Premier League this season as they are in a 9th place in the table. Gunners signed Pablo Mari from Flamengo and Cedric Soares from Southampton in January.
The London giants heavily linked with RB Leipzig centre-back Dayot Upamecano, PSG defender Layvin Kurzawa, Real Betis playmaker Nabil Fekir, Bayer Leverkusen centre-forward Kevin Volland, Inter Milan striker Mauro Icardi, Atletico Madrid midfielder Thomas Partey and Aston Villa attacker Jack Grealish

Arsenal stepped up interest in former PSG youngster who.would cost £40

Arsenal  are leading the race to land Celtic’s striker, Odsonne Edouard.

The 22-year-old Frenchman has netted 60 goals in 126 appearances for the club since signing from Ligue 1 giants Paris Saint-Germain.
According to Express, Arsenal are the favourites to land the forward, and the north London outfit could sign him for under £40million
Newcastle United are also keen on signing Edouard in the summer transfer window.
He has managed to grab a lot of eyeballs while playing for Celtic over the last two campaigns.
The 22-year-old has netted bucketloads of goals but has also shown that he is a forward that can do a lot more than just put the ball in the back of the
The strong centre-forward likes to drop deep and influence the play. Odsonne is a decent passer when he drops deep, while the star loves to dribble and take on opposition defenders.
The futures of both Alexandre Lacazette and Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang are up in the balance at the moment even though the former has calmed the supporters after appearing to rule out a move anytime soon.
Arsenal, even with the presence of their two experienced forwards, need another striker, who can offer something different.
He is young, energetic, strong, and is a player that could fit in well in the Arsenal starting eleven.
Arsenal do not possess the same financial clout in the transfer market as most of the club’s top 6 rivals, which means they will have to search for bargain buys and buy youngsters who have potential, which is what Celtic man is to an extent

£60m jack Greenish has tough decision ahead of possible Arsenal move this summer

£60 million Grealish ‘has tough decision’ ahead of possible Arsenal move this summer

Aston Villa midfielder Conor Hourihane anticipates a tricky summer for Arsenal target Jack Grealish, with the midfielder set to make a decision on his future.
Mikel Arteta is a boss that needs to spend some serious money over the next few weeks in order to improve a side that may in fact struggle to get a top six spot this season, nevermind a Champions League place for next season.
That has, of course, led to all sorts of speculation about whom could come into the club, who could leave the club, and what superstar signing that Arteta will seek to improve his very young
However, there has also been some shock rumours in the media that Villa midfielder Grealish could also be on the radar of Arteta after impressing during his first season back in the Premier League.
Hourihane told Sky Sports News: “Jack’s obviously hugely talented, he’s our talisman and he’s had a fantastic season. He’s been linked with so many clubs, lots of top teams around Europe.
“It’s going to be a tough summer and a tough decision for Jack. Hopefully, first and foremost, he keeps us up – that is the most important thing for the football club.
“And then, whatever Jack decides to do, that’s up to him. He deserves everything he gets. For me, he should be in the England squad as well because he has something that nobody else does, in my opinion.”
Grealish is certainly a player that has adapted to the Premier League this season with relative ease, so Arsenal would be signing a very gifted player if they manage to secure a transfer deal at the end of the season.

So it will very very interesting to see just where the young man ends up in the summer, as he will certainly be a great buy for most clubs.
For the right amount of money he will be a very good signing, But Arsenal need to make sure that they do not pay over-the-odds for the young man and he needs to make sure that a move to Arsenal is the right one to make.

Arsenal set to make summer move for £35m rated midfielder Marc Roca from Espanyol

Emmanuel Anele      Comments Offon Arsenal set to make summer move for £35m-rated midfield maestro
Arsenal are reportedly interested in securing services of Espanyol midfielder Marc Roca.
The 23-year-old defensive-minded midfielder came through the youth system at Espanyol and has since played 51 games for the Catalan outfit’s first-team, founding back of the nets six times in the process.
This campaign, the Spaniard has managed to found back of the net twice and provided three assists in 33 games in all competitions, and German champions, Bayern Munich are thought to be huge fan of his talent.
According to Sport, the Gunners have identified the talented midfielder as an ideal summer signing, although the North London club might be forced to activate his €40m (£35m) release clause to finalise a deal.
Espanyol are currently bottom of Spanish top-tier, six points from the safety of 17th position, although there is no guarantee that the 2019-20 season will be allowed to resume following the coronavirus.
Everton have also recently been credited with a strong interest in the holding midfielder who has been tipped to have a bright future.

Meanwhile, Arsenal are believed to be interested in the signing of Adrien Rabiot from Serie A champions, Juventus, according to a report.
Calciomercato reports that Italian champions are open to the idea of selling the 24-year-old Frenchman at the end of the current campaign, a year after securing his services from PSG for free.
Rabiot is believed to have attracted the interest of the Gunners, however, Mikel Arteta’s side would have to match his hefty wage demands.

Arsenal determined to sign £20m rated South American attacker Gerson from flamengo

Comments Offon Arsenal determined to sign €20m-rated South American attacker
Sometimes it’s obvious that a footballer left their home country too soon, so it’s always interesting to see how they bounce back from that.
Flamengo midfielder Gerson was very highly rated as a kid, and he moved to Roma as a youngster with only one full campaign under his belt, and it proved to be too much too soon.
There were concerns about his lack of physicality and pace, so Gerson returned to Brazil after failing to really establish himself at Roma or on loan at Fiorentina.
You could almost forgive him for feeling sorry for himself after that, but he knuckled down at Flamengo and has shown everyone that he’s still very talented. Gerson’s still only 22, but he’s closing in on 200 senior games in his career and looks ready for another crack at Europe.
They report that his father has claimed that Gunners are interested in making a move for him, although he does stress that his son is very happy where he is.
It’s an interesting time for the player because he needs to get his next move right. Rarely do we see a player get a second crack at Europe after failing, and you have to think he won’t get a third if his next move goes wrong.

highly rated Celtic midfielder Daniel Kelly attracted by Arsenal

Who is Daniel Kelly? The highly-rated Celtic midfielder tracked by Arsenal and Chelsea

The 2019/20 Premier League campaign may currently be on hold because of the coronavirus pandemic, but the transfer speculation and gossip most certainly isn't.
In normal circumstances, the summer transfer window would have been opening in less than a month's time, paving the way for Premier League clubs to set about bolstering their squads ahead of the 2020/21 campaign kicking-off in August.
But, of course, these are not usual circumstances. We have no idea - at the time of writing - when this current season will end, if at all possible, when the next transfer window will officially open for business and when next season will begin.
Despite those three important factors, clubs are still plotting transfer moves and being linked with moves for big-name players and promising young talent.

And for Arsenal and Chelsea it is no different, with the two clubs being closely linked with a move for young Celtic midfielder Daniel Kelly.
But who exactly is he? Here, football.london has taken a close look at the talented young midfielder that the Gunners and the Blues have joined the race to sign...

Who is Daniel Kelly?

Kelly is a 15-year-old box-to-box midfielder that is currently on the books of Scottish giants Celtic.
He, despite his tender age, is considered as one of the most promising, young prospects north of the border and is already attracting big interest.
According to the Glasgow Times, five Premier League clubs are locked in a battle to sign him, including Arsenal, Chelsea, Leicester City, Manchester United and Tottenham Hotspur.

What has he done so far?

Appreciating his age, Kelly, of course, is yet to play professional first-team football.

But he has already played for Celtic's Under-18s, which is a massive achievement and shows just how good Celtic's academy bosses must think he is when he is only 15.
He has been regularly watched by Premier League scouts and they have been left turning their heads by what they have seen from the teenager.
It is also claimed that Kelly impressed in the Sheffield Trophy, where Celtic's youngsters finished the tournament as runners-up.

Why would Arsenal, Chelsea and Spurs want him?

In this day and age, football clubs are always on the lookout for fresh, new, young, exciting talent, regardless of how old the player in question might be.
Though it is very hard to predict Kelly's full potential at just 15-years-old, the signs suggest that there must be a player capable of going a long way if he is already applying his trade at Under-18 level.
Clubs such as Arsenal, Chelsea and Tottenham are always on the hunt for a new crop of talent and could be keen to include him in their next academy intake, should Celtic be willing to let him go if they receive an offer they see as respectable.

What is Celtic's stance on the midfielder?

Understandably, Celtic are desperate to keep hold of Kelly and avoid losing him to one of the Premier League's elite for a minimal fee.

The 50-times Scottish champions found themselves in a similar scenario last year when they were forced into letting go of defender Liam Morrison, who joined German giants Bayern Munich.
Therefore, Celtic are desperate to avoid a repeat of that and plan to do all that they can to keep hold of the talented 15-year-old. It is reported by The Times, via The Sun, that Celtic have offered him a first professional contract in the hope that he will commit his long-term future to the club.
As a side note, Kelly is a student in the St Ninian's High School programme - the same place where Arsenal defender Kieran Tierney was developed into the player he now is.
