It is understood up to five Premier League clubs are chasing the veteran centre-half, who is set to be released at the end of the term.
According to 90min.com, the Gunners could face stiff competition from Everton, Wolves, Newcastle United and West Ham United as well as sides in his native Brazil, Qatar, China, Japan or the MLS for the defender’s signature.
And the report adds that the Gunners may even bring Thiago in to replace fellow countryman David Luiz, whose future remains uncertain amid a possible return to Benfica.
A source said: “Thiago is going to have his pick of clubs, once he decides where he wants to play.
“The chance to pick up a star like Thiago, despite his age, is clearly appealing and the interest in the Premier League is actually grhistory.”
Mikel Arteta wants to recruit another centre-back when the transfer market opens.
Daniele Rugani, Samuel Umititi and Dayot Upamecano are among the long list of names linked, while Pablo Mari could make his move permanent and William Saliba will return from his season-long loan at Saint-Etienne.
Everton could be in a serious position to make a deal work with manager Carlo Ancelotti in charge at Goodison Park.
The Italian purchased Silva at PSG back in 2012 and the pair spent a year together before Carlo joined Real Madrid.
Since arriving from I Rossoneri eight years ago, the defender has established himself an important figure in the PSG squad.
Silva’s tally of 287 games as captain – from a total of 310 – since 2012 makes Thiago the longest-serving and most-capped captain in the Parisians’ history.
