Arsenal to enter bidding war for 23-goal striker
08 July 2020 - 20:50
Arsenal could reportedly compete with the likes of Manchester United and Paris Saint-Germain in the race to sign Moussa Dembele this summer.
The Gunners are currently unclear over the future of Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang whose contract expires next summer and he could be sold at the end of the season.
On the other hand, Alexandre Lacazette has also been fancied to head for the exit door and he is currently the subject of interest from Inter Milan, Atletico Madrid and Juventus.
According to L'Equipe, the Gunners are bracing for the departure of at least one of their main strikers this summer and they have identified Dembele as a suitable replacement.
Paris Saint-Germain and United have also been credited with an interest in the former Celtic man, who bagged 23 goals for Lyon before their season was curtailed because of the coronavirus pandemic.
Lyon had previously demanded in excess of £60m for the marksman but reports claim that they could now accept a lesser fee due to the financial impact of the COVID-19 outbreak.
