25m-rated attacker wants to stay at Eredivisie amid Arsenal links

€25m-rated attacker wants to stay at Eredivisie amid Arsenal links

Orkun Kokcu has confirmed that he’d like to remain with Feyenoord despite interest from Gunners and Sevilla. The 19-year-old playmaker has admitted that he isn’t set to leave Feyenoord yet, with the attacker hoping to help the Rotterdam outfit to the Eredivisie title next campaign.

Even though the attacking midfielder would like to stay with the side, Kokcu also expressed some displeasure at the team’s disappointing new contract offers. Orkun is contracted to the Dutch giants until 2023, the playmaker is currently valued at nearly £20m.

Orkun’s target of the title next campaign isn’t outlandish at all, the ace has helped Feyenoord to a third-place finish this campaign, the Eredivisie has been curtailed due to the covid pandemic. U21 Turkey international has already won two Under-21s caps for the Crescent-Stars.

Orkun has scored twice and chipped in with four assists in 22 league games this campaign, the playmaker has also contributed two assists in five Europa League group stage outings this term.

The Turkish playmaker switched his international allegiance to Turkey last summer after representing Holland at Under-18s and 19s level, Orkun has now emerged as one of Turkey’s top talents.

A No.10 like Orkun would’ve been a useful signing for Arsenal, Mikel Arteta’s side should be eyeing the addition of a new playmaker following Mesut Ozil’s poor displays over the past two-and-a-half-years.

The London giants appear to be working towards fielding a younger lineup since Arteta was appointed as a boss, a talent like Kokcu would’ve fit in with this

Arsenal will have to pay £80 million to secure midfielder Jack Greenish from premier League rivals this summer

ARSENAL TRANSFER

Arsenal will have to pay £80 million to secure midfielder from premier League rivals this summer!

Aston Villa will demand at least £80m for Arsenal transfer target Jack Grealish during the transfer window.

Mikel Arteta is a boss that needs to spend some serious money over the next few weeks in order to improve a side that may in fact struggle to get a top six spot this season, nevermind a Champions League place for next season.

That has, of course, led to all sorts of speculation about whom could come into the club, who could leave the club, and what superstar signing that Arteta will seek to improve his very young side.

However, there has also been some shock rumours in the media that Villa midfielder Grealish could also be on the radar of Arteta after impressing during his first season back in the Premier League.

His performances over the past few months has also caught the attentions of the likes of Tottenham, Manchester United and Liverpool, but Arsenal are a side that needs to add something special to their midfield.

However, he will not come cheaply for the likes of Arsenal as reports have suggested that Aston Villa will seek £80 million for the midfield maestro, and have not given up hope of keeping their captain if they avoid the drop, according to the Daily Mail.

Look, We have seen in the Premier League that Grealish has the ability to go on and become a real star of the English game, so he needs to move to a big club like Arsenal, especially as they would suit his style of play.

And for the £80 million that he is reportedly going for, that is alot of money for Arsenal to spend in the transfer window, especially as the coronavirus outbreak will mean that clubs will not want to spend too much money in the transfer window.

But lets see what happens and lets see if Arsenal do try and sign the midfielder.

Mustafi looking at Bundesliga with Arsenal future uncertain

Mustafi looking at Bundesliga with Arsenal future uncertain

Shkodran Mustafi admits he is unsure about his future at Arsenal.

The mistake-prone defender has shown signs of improvement under current boss Mikel Arteta.

But with his contract set to expire next summer, Mustafi says he would be interested in returning to his native Germany.

"The Bundesliga is always interesting for me," the Germany international told Sport Bild. "In terms of sport, it has made great progress. It's also my home."

"In the current situation, it is difficult to predict how the transfer phase will go."

Arsenal give Thomas partey an offer that he can't refuse

Arsenal give Thomas Partey an offer that he can’t refuse

Arsenal may have finally made a breakthrough.

Heaven knows where Arsenal are getting this kind of money from, but reports from Goal are suggesting that the Gunners have offered to triple Thomas Partey’s current wages, in a blockbuster deal which may be difficult for the Ghanaian to refuse.

Arsenal has been linked with Partey for what seems like an aeon. This is usually the case since the players which the media links them with are fay beyond their league. However, this new report suggests that there is something substantial to Arsenal’s interest in Partey, and rightly so.

Thomas Partey plays a box-to-box role, which is the key component that Arsenal must sign to finish the midfield puzzle. Signing a player of Partey’s mould would complete Arteta’s project since Granit Xhaka is key to dictating play and Lucas Torreira key to defending opposing play.

Partey has a release clause of £45m which will prove difficult to pay, however, if the board can come up with a justification for this, then I would be all for it, much like most of the fanbase I’m sure.

Arsenal has shown an interest in other midfield stars this summer, so it’s clear to see this is a position of need to Arteta. The likes of Orkun Kokcu and Carlos Soler have also been on the Emirates Stadium radar, but it’s not rocket science to say Partey is the best of the bunch.

Truth be told, ever since Arteta was unveiled as the new manager, he made his priorities clear. The instant rejuvenation of their midfield, particularly through the consistency of starting Xhaka and Torreira together showed that Arteta wanted to improve this side of the Gunners play. He is in the best position to do so, after all, since he knows what it takes to be a midfield fan favourite here.

Arsenal started negotiations with £25m rated Portuguese star Rafa Silva

Comments Offon Arsenal started negotiations with €25m-rated Portuguese star
The London giants are interested in signing Benfica attacker Rafa Silva, with the footballer reportedly keen to move to Arsenal. Portugal international is ‘flattered’ by Gunners interest in his services.

Rafa has been in fine form this campaign, scoring nine goals and providing six assists in 25 games across all tournaments.

Silva’s release clause stands at £71m, however, as Newcastle were recently quoted with a £25m price tag on the ace.

The Magpies are reportedly interested in signing the 27-year-old playmaker as they continue to be linked with several relatively high-profile names due whilst they’re under a takeover bid from a consortium led by mega-rich Saudi Arabians.

Eagles could be ‘forced’ into parting ways with the ace in the next transfer window as they look to raise funds for their own summer spending.

The Portuguese playmaker was also superb for the European giants last campaign, as his tally of 17 goals in the Portuguese top-flight was only bettered by current Man United star Bruno Fernandes and teammate Haris Seferovic.

Rafa Silva is primarily used as a left-winger, however, he’s comfortable on the opposite flank and has even flourished in a second striker role on a fair few occasions this campaign.

Arsenal in advanced talks with £35m rated La-liga midfielder Dani Ceballos

Spain international made a strong early impression at the London club after arriving on loan from Real Madrid, even receiving a standing ovation for his display with Burnley back in August.

But a severe hamstring injury ruled him out for several months, and he had to fight to win back his place under the Gunners manager, starting the London club’s final three league games before the campaign was suspended.

Mikel is believed to be a big supporter of his compatriot, though Gunners ability to sign him permanently has been hampered by the financial implications of the covid crisis.

La Liga giants are likewise feeling the effects and would be prepared to cash in on Dani to raise funds, though the midfielder has now made it clear that he will just move to a side who can guarantee him playing time in a great year.

Speaking about his future, Ceballos said: ‘My objective is to play in the European Championship and Olympic Games and when they are happening you need to find a club where you feel important.’

The 23-year-old midfielder has been linked with a return to Real Betis, though his old team are sitting in the bottom half of the table and the 23-year-player former believes they are good enough to be playing in Europe.

Speaking about his time in the PL, the Spanish midfielder added: ‘Anyone who likes football as I do would have to come and play in England sometimes.’

Arsenal told to pay €30m for Lille’s in-demand centre-back Gabriel Magalhaes

Arsenal told to pay €30m for Lille’s in-demand centre-back

By  | June 11, 2020

Arsenal and Chelsea have reportedly been told that they must fork out €30m (£27m) if they want to sign Lille defender Gabriel Magalhaes next month.

The 22-year-old centre-back has been persistently rumoured with a move away from the French top-tier recently, with Everton, Real Madrid and Chelsea all credited with their interest.

However, according to Le 10 Sport, the Gunners are at the head of the queue for 22-year-old defender’s services, and the Brazilian centre-back could be an ideal cut-price alternative to their long-term target Dayot Upamecano.

The report also suggests that Lille will be forced into selling at least one of their prized assets to balance the books, with Boubakary Soumare and Victor Osimhen also has been on the radar of the hosts of European teams.

Osimhen has been rumoured with several Premier League teams after a stunning season in the French top tier, and the Gunners have supposedly identified the Nigerian forward as a potential replacement for Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang.

Gabriel has turned out 34 times across all competitions during the 2019-20 season as Lille finished fourth in the French top-tier.

Chelsea see Gabriel as a perfect defensive partner for Antonio Rudiger, despite Fikayo Tomori’s fine form Lampard is keen on to strengthen his backline for the next campaign.

PSG planing surprise move for £110,000-a-week Arsenal defender Hector Bellerin

Comments Offon PSG planning surprise move for £110,000-a-week Arsenal defender

Gunners find themselves in a strange situation where they need to sell footballers in order to raise funds for any new arrivals.

Anyone who will raise a decent amount of money will probably be an important member of the team, so Mikel Arteta could be forced to decide who he can do without.

PSG have opened talks with Gunners over a move for Spanish defender Hector Bellerin, with a fee of €30m being mooted.

They indicate that the London giants are looking to sell someone to help them raise funds to rebuild the squad, so they are open to letting him go.

It’s a curious situation because he’s a fan favourite and even looks like a leader when he plays regularly, but he also has problems with injuries and he’s no use to the team if he never plays.

They go on to say that the Spanish defender is open to making the move and talks seem to be going well, so it does sound like this might happen.

Interestingly they also point out that Hector would be a direct replacement for Thomas Meunier who is set to leave for free this summer, so perhaps Arsenal could move for him and get a replacement too.

Arsenal fans want this players sold out after there game against Brentford

Arsenal fans can't believe what Lacazette, Maitland-Niles and Luiz did against Brentford

Arsenal news includes fan reaction to the behind closed doors friendly defeat against Brentford at the Emirates Stadium on Wednesday

Alexandre Lacazette, David Luiz and Ainsley Maitland-Niles

Arsenal were back in action on Wednesday, this time in a losing effort against Brentford.

After putting six past Charlton Athletic last weekend, the Gunners welcomed another Championship outfit to the Emirates Stadium as they stepped up preparations ahead of the big Premier League return.

And whilst Mikel Arteta will have been pleased about his squad improving their fitness levels, he's bound to have some concerns about his side's defending.

THE IMPACT OF THE LOSS OF ARSENAL'S MATCH-DAY INCOME

The other positives were that Joe Willock was once again on the scoresheet, as was Alexandre Lacazette.

However, the Frenchman was at fault for one of Brentford's goals in a 3-2 defeat for the north London outfit.

Attempting to shield the ball deep in his own half, Lacazette needlessly lost possession and a few seconds later Emiliano Martinez was picking the ball out of his net.

Although, the Gunners no.9 wasn't the only player who looked extremely rusty against the Bees.

David Luiz must take his fair share of the blame for Brentford's first goal as he took on far too many players, while Ainsley Maitland-Niles' mistake resulted in the winner for the visitors.

Judging by the reaction on social media, fans are very angry with the aforementioned trio - even if it's just a friendly.

Arsenal eye surprise deal for soon to be free agent Thiago silva

Arsenal are considering a move to sign Paris Saint-Germain legend Thiago Silva on a free transfer this summer, reports say.

It is understood up to five Premier League clubs are chasing the veteran centre-half, who is set to be released at the end of the term.

According to 90min.com, the Gunners could face stiff competition from Everton, Wolves, Newcastle United and West Ham United as well as sides in his native Brazil, Qatar, China, Japan or the MLS for the defender’s signature.

And the report adds that the Gunners may even bring Thiago in to replace fellow countryman David Luiz, whose future remains uncertain amid a possible return to Benfica.

A source said: “Thiago is going to have his pick of clubs, once he decides where he wants to play.

“The chance to pick up a star like Thiago, despite his age, is clearly appealing and the interest in the Premier League is actually grhistory.”

Mikel Arteta wants to recruit another centre-back when the transfer market opens.
