The report claims that Spaniard is behind the move as he ‘dreams’ of bringing Brazil international to London and would make the playmaker a focal point in the team. It’s claimed that the Gunners have made arrangements to begin talks with Joorabchian, although a move for the Brazilian playmaker is expected to be costly.
Mikel, meanwhile, has already warned that Gunners will be forced to adapt club’s transfer plans if they miss out on a place in next campaign’s UCL. Speaking last week, Kia claimed no clubs have approached Coutinho so far. ‘For now, we have not spoken to anybody about any deals whatsoever,’ Joorabchian said.
‘I think for now everyone’s concentration is regarding this pandemic and how football can restart the campaign in a secure environment and over the health and safety of everybody. I think the transfer side of things and where Philippe will go or where people will go will come into play down the line when things have got back to some sort of normality.’
