Exciting Saka sent huge Arsenal transfer message ahead of possible move to Liverpool this summer
Paul Robinson has urged Arsenal star Bukayo Saks to ignore a possible summer move to Liverpool.
Regarded as one of the finest talents in the Premier League, Saka has made a real impact at the Emirates this season and has become a firm fans favourite after some stunning performances.
He has also worked his way into the plans of Arsenal boss Mikel Arteta, who knows that he has one of the best talents in the game on his hands, with the youngster playing well over 20 games this season.
However, there has been some speculation in the media suggesting that Liverpool are ready to swoop in and offer him a move to Anfield, especially as there are reports claiming that Arsenal cannot agree a new deal with the youngster.
But amid all the speculation, Robinson thinks the teenager would be better off staying at the Emirates as he would get more game time than he would if he moved to Liverpool.
“A top player. I have seen him a few times and Arsenal will do all that they can to renew his contract,” Robinson told Football Insider.
“Liverpool are trying to muscle in there and take him because he is 18 and has already made 29 appearances this season. He is very good going forward.
“However, with [Mikel] Arteta at Arsenal, I think it could be more beneficial for the player to stay there.
“I doubt that he would get the same opportunities at Liverpool as an 18-year-old.
“For his development, it is worth staying at Arsenal for a while longer under a manager that is keen to promote youth.”
Right now the lad is getting the game time he needs to develop and is seemingly in the plans of Arsenal so moving at this stage of his career would not make sense, especially with all the world class ability over at Liverpool.
Arteta wants to build something special at Arsenal over the next few seasons and Saka would be part of those plans, but if he moved to Liverpool he would have to work alot harder to get into that first team on a regular basis.
Robinson is right and Saka should stay put…FOR NOW!
