Henrikh Mkhitaryan speaks out on a possible Arsenal return this summer

Henrikh Mkhitaryan speaks out on possible Arsenal return this summer

Mkhitaryan who is on loan at Roma has revealed that he will not complain if Mikel Arteta decides to bring him back to the Emirates.

The 31-year-old joined the Emirates club back in 2018 from Manchester United in a swap deal that involved Alexis Sanchez. After a slightly disappointing 2018/19 season, he was sent on loan to the Italian club where he has done well with 6 goals in Serie A.

When Mkhitaryan was asked about his future on the Futbol with Grant Wahl podcast he said:

“Of course I would like to be at Roma next season, not only next season [but] for another few years. But I still have a contract with Arsenal and it’s not up to me. It’s up to Arsenal and Roma if they will agree terms of the transfer fee.

“If I’m not going to stay at Roma I have to go back to Arsenal. I’m not complaining, football life changes so quickly so you have to be ready to play wherever you are.”

Back in March, Arteta had spoken about how the midfielder still had a future at the club. He said:

“Miki is doing really well in recent games. We know the player he’s been, we know his past, and we need to have all the information to make the right decision.”

As per reports in Metro, the Italian club are in talks with the North London club to extend the Armenian’s deal. Mkhitaryan is fine with whatever the outcome is but it looks like he would prefer to stay in Italy.

Arsenal will be encouraged by the fact that the midfielder has flourished in a new environment and has taken well to a new league. His major problem during his time at the Emirates was his inconsistency.

There is no doubt over his quality and if he shows that on a more regular basis, there will be no stopping him. Due to the impact of the Coronavirus pandemic, there will be an impact on the kind of transfers that Arsenal can take part in. Perhaps this could mean that there will be another chance for Mkhitaryan to do well at the Emirates.

Or if he was to stay for another season at Roma, it will possibly help the Gunners make some money with a sale. Regardless, it is for the best for the player if a decision was made quickly.

  • Three reasons why Arsenal should sign this premier league wing wizard Ryan Fraser

3 Reasons Why Arsenal Should Sign This Premier League Wing-Wizard | Opinion

Premier League giants Arsenal are in need of a prolific winger, and Bournemouth’s Ryan Fraser could be the solution.

The Gunners have been linked (h/t Express) with a move for Fraser, who will be a free agent when his contract expires in July.

Considering Arsenal’s current predicaments, both on and off the pitch, the club should be preparing to pounce on the opportunity to sign Fraser. However, they will face tough competition from arch-rivals Tottenham Hotspur.

The 26-year-old has not been able to match his previous seasons’ exploits, managing just one goal and four assists in 28 Premier League outings so far this season.

But there is no doubt about the quality of the player. Last season, he scored seven goals and had 14 to his name, and could have better numbers at a club like Arsenal where the calibre for forwards is higher than that at Bournemouth.

3 reasons why Arsenal should sign Ryan Fraser

#1 No proper winger in the squad

It’s not like Arsenal are in a shambolic situation financially, and are one of the top clubs in England. Yet, the squad lacks a proper winger who has the confidence to take on players and assist the forwards.

Ryan Fraser could be the perfect fit for that role, and the opportunity to show his talent at a big club like Arsenal could be the final step in his career.

Apart from being a proactive winger, he is also versatile as he can do his job pretty well on either wing if need be.

#2 He has age on his side

Fraser has already impressed with his output, and is not even at the peak of his career. He is currently 26, and if he does move to Arsenal, it will at the right time.

In the last few years, Arsenal have signed players who were arguably past their peak, and have hence moved backwards. It will be different with Fraser.

Arsenal could use him as a long term option by tying him up to a long-term contract.

    #3 Ability to score goals

Fraser is not only a winger but also a goal-scorer. Though the in-demand midfielder has underperformed this season (Bournemouth as a team have struggled), the former Ipswich man showed his ability to find the back of the net last season with his calm finishing.

At Arsenal, he would get a lot more opportunities and quality support around him compared to what he is used to at Bournemouth, which is likely to bring the best out of him.

There’s still plenty of reasons for the Gunners supporters to be positive as the appointment of Mikel Arteta should pay off in the long run, but rebuilding the squad could be a serious struggle.

Gunners don’t tend to spend a lot of money anyway, and the covid-19 crisis will force them to be even more frugal. The problem is that the squad lacks quality and depth, so trying to find free agents and cheap deals to improve it will be a tough ask.

A recent report has indicated exactly where Gunners stand right now, as it seems they’ve been priced out of a move for Max Aarons.

The 20-year-old defender has been excellent this campaign and is exactly the type of signing Arsenal should be looking for thanks to his potential, but they just can’t afford him.

They claim that Norwich would be looking for at least £30m to let him go – even if they get relegated this campaign and it’s just more than Gunners are looking to spend.

It’s not clear if the London giants don’t have the money at all or would rather use those funds to add multiple players rather than just one, but it looks like Aarons won’t be going to The Emirates anytime soon.

Arsenal told to pay £53m to sign Barcelona out of favour forward Ousmane Dembele

Comments Offon Arsenal told to pay £53m to sign Barcelona out-of-favour forward

La Liga giants, Barcelona would reportedly be prepared to sell French forward Ousmane Dembele when the transfer window will be re-opened in the summer’s if they receive an offer in the region of €60m (£53m).

The 22-year-old Frenchman has struggled with a number of injury problems since making the switch to Barcelona from Borussia Dortmund ahead of the 2017-18 season.

The France international has been restricted to make only nine appearances during the current campaign following to hamstring issues and is not expected to make a return to the field later this year.

Dembele’s current contract at Nou Camp will end in June 2022, and according to Marca, the Spanish giants would be prepared to sell him in the summer for a figure in the region of €60m.

ManUtd and Arsenal are both believed to be keeping tabs on the developments surrounding the 2018 World Cup-winning forward ahead of potential bids.

Arsenal see Dembele as a perfect replacement for Alexandre Lacazette who has been rumoured with a switch to Atletico Madrid, while Man Utd consider him as an alternative to their top transfer target Jadon Sancho.

Dembele has managed to found back of the net 19 times in 74 appearances for Barcelona in all competitions.

Barcelona interested in signing £200,000-a- week Arsenal striker Pierre Emerick Aubameyang

Barcelona interested in signing £200,000-a-week Arsenal striker

It would be a shame if such a talent continued to go without playing in the UCL and competing for major titles, and it seems like he could get that opportunity as the Catalan giants eye him up. Blaugrana reportedly would be willing to buy Aubameyang if the London giants reduce their asking price for their centre-forward to only £18m.

Still, the report suggests a 30-year-old striker is only a backup option being considered by the Blaugrana, who are also targeting Inter centre-forward, Lautaro Martinez, as a long-term replacement for Luis Suarez. Gunners will not sell the Gabonese striker for less than £20m this summer, even if that means losing him on a free transfer.

The London giants feel that keeping their centre-forward for another season would be worth the financial hit unless they are to receive a sizeable fee. That stance is understandable as replacing Pierre-Emerick is going to be a huge challenge for Mikel Arteta’s side.

Aubameyang is regarded as one of the Premier League’s very best strikers and finding a footballer who can hit the back of the net as frequently as he could be practically impossible on Gunners budget.  In other news, the Blaugrana reportedly join the Gunners in the race to sign £40m whizkid Joelson Fernandes

Arsenal in pole position to sign £40m La-liga midfielder Thomas partey

Arsenal in pole position to sign €40m-rated La Liga midfielder

Atletico Madrid midfielder Thomas Partey would reportedly prefer a switch to Arsenal over Paris Saint-Germain this summer in a huge boost for the London giants. Having also earned 27 caps for Ghana in that time too, Partey’s an essential footballer for club and country, and his form has seemingly led to interest from elsewhere.

Ghana international has come through the ranks at the Wanda Metropolitano and has established himself as a key figure for Diego Simeone’s side having played 174 games for the first-team since the 2015/16 season.

The London giants have been linked with a swoop for Thomas for some time, as it has been suggested that the Los Rojiblancos could offer him a new deal to fend Arsenal off which would see him commit his future until 2025 and double Partey’s wages.

Meanwhile, speculation has refused to go away over his future it looks, as the 26-year-old midfielder would be set to snub interest from Parisians in favour of a move to the Emirates as he wants to follow in the footsteps of Ghana icon Michael Essien after his success in England and the PL with chelsea.

It’s added that the Ghanaian midfielder is a top target for the Spanish manager this summer, but his price-tag could be problematic for the team especially amid the threat of missing out on the UCL football next campaign while the financial impact of the coronavirus pandemic could also limit spending for many clubs too.

Juventus and Bayern Munich are still interested in prising him away from the Spanish giants, and Rio Ferdinand has urged Man United to get involved in the transfer scrap Recent Posts

Arsenal desperate to sign 23years old Spain international pau Torres

Pau has looked an excellent performer in Spain and could now be set to make the step up to a bigger club, and it would be great to see him in the Premier League.

Torres came through the ranks at the Yellow Submarine, but after breaking through with six games for Villarreal in the 2017/18 campaign, went on loan to cut his teeth with Malaga in the second division last campaign. There he played 40 matches, scoring once and keeping 15 clean sheet.

displays secured him a place in the first team back at Villarreal on his return to the club. Man United need to ensure they can become more competitive for major honours again soon after a difficult period, and the signing of a quality young defender like the Spaniard could be a crucial part of their rebuilding process.

Red Devils could still do with improving their defensive options despite spending big on Harry Maguire last summer, with Torres surely an upgrade on the likes of Victor Lindelof and Eric Bailly. Arsenal, however, are not known for spending big on signings too often, and the 22-year-old centre-back clearly wouldn’t come cheap.

The London giants are also in dire need of more quality at the back after another disappointing campaign, with the Spanish defender sure to be an upgrade on unconvincing performers like David Luiz, Sokratis Papastathopoulos and Shkodran MustafiTags:
